A few words about us
Laya grew naturally out of how we travel, observe, and live. Coming from backgrounds in technology, design, and storytelling, we’ve spent years moving slowly through different cultures, paying attention to everyday materials—especially fabric. Along the way, we developed a deep respect for textiles as practical, enduring objects shaped by climate, tradition, and use. Laya reflects that belief: creating pieces that are made with intention, meant to last, and designed to quietly connect you to the people and cultures behind them.
How we found local partners and how we work together
What started as a search for quality cashmere became a lesson in how relationships are truly formed. After unanswered emails and growing uncertainty, we discovered that sitting together, sharing tea, and taking time to listen changed everything.
